Two new bits of video research out today: One from ABI Research saying 63 percent of U.S. online households watch video in their browsers, up from 32 percent a year ago. The other a projection from Gartner, which says IPTV services will grow to 19.6 million subscribers in 2008, or 1.1 percent of households worldwide.
- Oregon Welcomes Yet Another Solar Maker, Sanyo
Oregon’s Business Energy Tax Credit (BETC) has done it again: SANYO North America said today that it will build a new $80-million, 70MW solar manufacturing facility in Salem, Ore. Construction is slated to begin next month and the plant is expected to open in October 2009, ramping up to full capacity by April 2010.

It won’t allow the car to drive itself, but Motorola’s X24 concept would add wireless connectivity to your vehicle wherever there’s WiMAX coverage. You might need a map to find that, though.
